Breanna

"I knew that in order for me to be the best wife, mama, & business owner I needed some extra help in preparing for our second child. When seeing her post on social media about wanting to provide services for expecting mamas, I knew immediately I should reach out to her for help to ease my anxiety about having baby #2. Throughout the process of Amanda helping me I found that I was less stressed and felt much more present with my family than I did after I had my first child. She helped us out in so many ways. From deep cleaning to organizing areas in my house, she helped me get so much more done than I would by myself.  I also really appreciated that she always encouraged me to rest and relax, because that is hard for me to do.

Amanda was willing to listen to me and helped me through my second postpartum period, which was very challenging at times. She saved my mental health by doing weekly check-ins and even offered various forms of stretching/yoga whenever I needed it.

Amanda has been such an incredible help in teaching the basics of breastfeeding, which was a goal of mine with baby #2. I exclusively pumped for 11 months with my son and had no idea where to start. We began simple breastfeeding education at the end of my pregnancy and I felt so much more comfortable trying to breastfeed after having my daughter. In the first couple weeks she helped tremendously by assessing how breastfeeding was going, in person and virtually. She instilled confidence in me about breastfeeding by providing helpful tips that she’s learned from her experience.  I’ve got to be honest, if it was Amanda's encouragement, I’m not sure if I would still be breastfeeding today which has been the most incredible bond between my daughter and I.

She is very flexible when scheduling sessions and is great at customizing what is best for both mama and baby. I am so thankful that I’ve had Amanda to help with all things pregnancy and postpartum. It has truly been an honor to have her in my life and I’m grateful for the friendship I’ve gained. She is such a genuine, kind & creative soul that wants what's best for you, mama.

If you are expecting, I highly recommend reaching out to her for help. Amanda has taught me that we weren’t meant to experience bringing children into the world alone. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this process it’s that you are stronger for asking for help, and I promise you won’t regret it. You might even feel like a whole mama again!"

About Whole Mama

Self-Care Is A Priority: That's Why I Bring Care to You

Motherhood can be overwhelming – whether it’s from navigating your new role, learning how to take care of a child, anxiety, fatigue, lack of time, work obligations, or the ever piling up list of things to do around your home. (The list can be SO long!)

I understand that sometimes a mother's physical, mental, and spiritual needs can be pushed aside to make time for all the things mothers do for their family. I believe that mothers need someone to give them their full attention since they have enough on their plate preparing and caring for their little ones!

New and experienced moms can have considerable life changes during pregnancy, postpartum, and thereafter.  For some women, the transitions experienced in motherhood happen smoothly and effortlessly, but for many women, the physical, mental, and emotional experiences related to motherhood can result in difficulties in everyday life. These experiences can sometimes include struggles with:

  • physical and mental health

  • role transitions

  • home management, and

  • productive completion of healthy and essential daily routines

Every motherhood journey is unique and that is why I provide personalized care and support focused on YOU, mama!  I want you to feel whole. I take the time to learn about you, your personal goals and visions, the barriers you may be facing, and then support you in achieving those goals in your own home!

I want to help empower you, mama!

My care is professional and evidenced-based provided to you by a certified and licensed occupational therapist and certified doula. Occupational therapists specialize in treating the individual in all realms of life. Occupational therapists look at the whole mama and what defines her, not just one piece of her! Doulas are trained professionals who provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother in pregnancy, postpartum and thereafter to provide positive outcomes for the mother and entire family.

Doula in Greek means "a woman who serves".

My role as a doula is complimented by my experience as an OT and my mission to serve mothers in their motherhood journey.  My mission is to provide you the care and resources to live in the moment, feel empowered, and embrace yourself in your motherhood journey!
